Catherine Opie is a photographer who as done series of houses in Beverly Hills [pic1, pic2], LA Freeways [pic1, pic2, pic3], female-to-male transsexuals [pic], and panoramics of Wall St..
The last I saw at a gallery this weekend in Tribeca. The first two, as a Californian, fascinate me as subjects and I wish I'd been around for these earlier gallery shows. Unfortunately the presentation of Opie's pictures on the web suck. Is it that hard to put up a few good slide scans? You can also read a good, brief overview of her work.
